FICCI ARISE mounted a 20-member high-powered delegation of top educationists and policy makers from all across India to visit Sydney and Melbourne, from November 3-9, 2019. The purpose of this visit was to provide an opportunity to understand and experience the Australian model of education system in K-12 space and gain exposure to the dynamic and flexible policies, successful pedagogical tools and models by use of cutting edge technologies like data analytics, artificial intelligence, design thinking etc. for transforming their schools to prepare their students for the 21st century needs.
The 5 days visit was carefully planned to include visits to a wide range of institutions including government and independent schools, TVET institutions, Schools of Education and relevant government organization, namely TAFE, New South Wales ( NSW); Association of Independent Schools, NSW; Catholic Education Dioses of Parramatta; School of Educational Research, Western Sydney University; St. Mel ‘s Catholic Primary School; Anzac Park Public School Department of Education Melbourne; Melbourne Graduate School of Education; Deakin University; Mount Waverly Heights Primary School and Strathmore Secondary College. The delegation was also hosted by Counsellor General of Sydney and a seminar was organized jointly with Australia India Business Council (AIBC) for exploring collaboration opportunities.
